Pregnancy Yoga

Anastasia provides personalized instruction in modified Hatha Yoga adapted to the specific stage of pregnancy and to each individual’s level of yoga practice. She instructs each person in series of yoga poses (asanas) with adaptations necessary from the beginning of pregnancy to birth.
A core element in the classes is the development of intention for natural birth. The power of thought, of intention, is strong at this time. The classes help deepen the connection of Mother and Baby and setting the true ancient intention, creating clarity, confidence and trust in natural processes: “I am a Goddess Mother. I’m on duty and protected, and everything is going to go well.” The classes use the technique of visualization to manifest our intentions.
The process of pregnancy is a very rare opportunity to have two source of life energy, two “kundalinis’, in one body. It is a time to bring awareness of your baby’s energy and your Mother energy together, knowing what to do naturally. Ideally your partner comes with you. It empowers the process. God and Goddess energies are not separate.
The classes use the beautiful practice of yogic breathing (pranayama) to balance the energy and nervous systems of the body. You will learn to develop techniques of breath control to prepare for birth, when the hormones are working, oxygen is available, as our tool to open ourselves to natural processes. We will also chant ancient mantras of Divine Mother Lakshmi to manifest wealth and abundance on all levels—love of family, fertility, capacity to have baby, to raise and support your baby in abundance. All these sweetnesses come as gifts when connected with the universal flow.

Vinyasa Flow

Vinyasa means "breath-synchronized movement," and Vinyasa yoga is a series of poses that will move you through the power of inhaling and exhaling. Vinyasa movements are smoothly flowing and almost dance-like, which explains why it is sometimes referred to as Vinyasa Flow or just Flow.
Like all styles of yoga, Vinyasa has both mental and physical benefits. Physically, sweat expels toxins and re-energizes your body. Mentally, the synchronized breathing relaxes your mind and helps to release any blockage of energy flow throughout your body.
This is an intermediate level course and it helps if you have some knowledge of basic yoga poses; however, beginners are always welcome to try. If you are looking for something dynamic yet mindful and you like to focus on the power of breathing and flowing movement through poses, you will enjoy this type of yoga.

Yin Yang Yoga

In Chinese philosophy, the yin yang symbolizes the duality and interdependency of the natural world.
Yin, the feminine principle: dark, passive, receptive, reflective, withdrawn, cool, introspective. Yin yoga was developed to penetrate deep into connective tissue expanding flexibility and aiding healing while stimulating the nadis or meridians to loosen energetic blockages and increase energy flow.

Yang, the masculine principle: light, active, outward and upward moving, hot, extrospective. Yang yoga is the more traditional hatha or ashtanga based asana practice that develops muscular strength, stamina, and flexibility.

Yin/Yang Yoga is a class that balances Yin yoga practice for the first half of the class with traditional Yang yoga practices for the second half of the class. This class can provide you with a practice that starts with deep, introspective, and quiet yoga nourishing and connecting your body, heart and mind, then moving into an energizing and uplifting yoga that strengthens you and sets you on your way for the rest of your day.

Yin Yoga

Yin Yoga is a practice of long held, passive poses as a means to stretch and lengthen the deep tissues of the body, the connective tissue and faschia, that lubricate the joints giving them increased elasticity and wellbeing within their natural range of motion. You create space and strength in the joints.
Open to all levels.
