What to know before your first class?

How can I book a class?

You can book your class online, call us at or email at shala@yoga-monaco.com. It is also possible to drop in to the class, however in this case we can’t guarantee a place for you.

When should I arrive before the class?

Come 10-15 minutes early.
Take your time to change, settle and relax before your class.

What should I wear?

Wear loose, comfortable clothing.
Yoga Shala is a free shoe zone.
Please be prepared to remove your shoes at arrival at the studio. We have a shoes cupboard at the entrance.

Where can I change my clothes?

Yoga Shala is offering a ladies and men spacious changing room with shower and bathroom facilities. Towels are available at reception.

Can I eat before class?

We recommend not to eat a big meal within 4 hours before a class. It is fine to have a snack 1-2 hours before.
We are offering a little delicious bite (nuts, healthy organic protein bars or cookies), tea and water in the lounge area. Bottles of water to take with are also available.

Shall I bring props?

Though we recommend having your own mat, it is not mandatory. Yoga Shala is providing yoga mats, belts, blocks, bolsters…. You can purchase yoga products and accessories at our shop in the entrance area.

Can I practice yoga if I’m pregnant or have another physical or health issues?

In generally yes. Please consult your doctor and inform your instructor before class.
